The Six Isles Batch Strength (58%)

A batch-strength expression of The Six Isles blended malt, bottled at 58% by Ian MacLeod, the owner of Glengoyne. It is a vatting of single malts from six Scottish islands: Islay, Jura, Skye, Mull, Orkney and Arran. The higher strength brings out the maritime notes and lively fruit. The nose has beach bonfire, strawberries and cream and a little ground cumin. On the palate are salty peat smoke, fresh lime, green apple, banana, vanilla, a cereal bar and black pepper. The finish is long and smoky.
