The Six Isles Voyager

The Six Isles Voyager is a blended malt made from whiskies of six Scottish islands: Islay, Jura, Skye, Mull, Orkney and Arran. It is put together by Ian MacLeod, owner of the Glengoyne distillery, under the Six Isles label. The character is coastal, with a hint of peat and sea breeze running through robust, well-rounded malt. The nose is soft heather smoke with oatcakes and sea salt, and apple and apricot develop with time. On the palate there is oily malt with vanilla and buttered bread, along with more salt and smouldering peat. The finish is balanced, with brown sugar and spicy oak.
