This is a single cask Ben Nevis from The Ultimate range, bottled by van Wees. It was distilled on 17 October 2013 and bottled on 24 June 2021, after seven years in a single refill ex-bourbon cask, cask 428.
It is bottled at 46%, without chill-filtering or added colour.
The nose shows ripe pear, apple and vanilla with a touch of gooseberry. On the palate there are yellow apple, lemon peel, meringue and spicy grain, with soft vanilla, cream toffee and a hint of coconut from the bourbon cask. The finish is of medium length and lightly dry, with apple, a little liquorice and woody herbs.
