The Ultimate Ben Nevis 2013 Cask 435 Cask Strength (60.6%)

This is a single cask Ben Nevis from the Van Wees series The Ultimate. It was distilled on 17 October 2013 and bottled on 24 June 2021, after seven years in ex-bourbon cask number 435. It is bottled at a cask strength of 60.6%, without chill filtering and without added colouring. The whisky has a deep golden colour. The nose combines toffee, ripe banana, candied pineapple and tropical fruit with white pepper, nutmeg and lemon peel. On the palate come vanilla fudge, honey, juicy pear, coconut and ginger in a creamy, slightly waxy texture. The finish is long, warm and spicy, with oak, citrus zest and sea salt.
