The Ultimate Linkwood 2010 is a single malt from the Speyside distillery Linkwood, finished in a sherry cask and bottled from Cask 103 at 56.8% ABV. It was distilled on 3 September 2010 and bottled on 10 July 2023 for Van Wees' The Ultimate series, in a release of 639 bottles. It is non-chill filtered and deep amber in colour.
On the nose there are raisins, candied orange, caramelised nuts, red berries and cocoa powder, with a hint of leather and old books. The palate brings dark chocolate, espresso, dried figs and plums, then cinnamon, clove and a little tobacco. The finish is long and warming, with mocha, hazelnut and dark fruit.
