A seven-year-old Irish single malt from Boann Distillery, bottled at cask strength.
The whiskey spent its first five years in bourbon barrels and a further two in first-fill sherry hogsheads. It is bottled without chill-filtering.
The nose is strong and well developed, and the palate is creamy with salted caramel, apple and orange peel. A drop or two of water opens it further. The finish is warming and lasting, with a little spice.
