A peated 19-year-old Highland single malt bottled by Thompson Bros at 57.1%, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2007, matured in refill hogsheads and bottled in July 2026. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The refill hogsheads go with a pronounced peaty, salty character. The nose brings charred hazelnuts, dusty peated malt, burnt sage, rosemary, oily fishing rope and tar, with quince and apple peel. The palate is powerful, with citrus, heather honey, cooked apples, salt and wet slate, plus smoked ham, anchovies and capers. The finish has salted peanut brittle, firm earthy peat and lingering cigar smoke.
