Thompson Bros. North British 34 Year Old Single Grain Whisky (70cl, 40.1%)

A 34-year-old single grain Scotch whisky distilled at North British Distillery in Edinburgh and bottled by Thompson Bros. of Dornoch Distillery at 40.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The edition is limited to 115 bottles. Each label is cut from a 1949 Edinburgh Civic Survey map, and Thompson Bros. chose the section showing Leith. The nose is full of sticky toffee pudding with whipped cream, lemon zest and white chocolate. On the palate come custard tarts, jelly fruits and demerara sugar, with a little banana on toast with honey.
