This is an 8 year old teaspooned blended malt from the Private Stock range of Thompson Bros. It is essentially a single malt with a small amount of another malt added, which makes it a blended malt. It was distilled on 23 June 2016, matured in hogsheads and bottled in 2024 at 57.1%, without chill-filtering or added colouring, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh citrus, vanilla and caramel with a little oak spice. The palate is full-bodied, with honeyed notes, ripe apples, malt sugar and a fine nutty touch. The finish is long and lightly spicy, with creamy sweetness and a fine woody note.
