This is a single cask expression from Thomson, the New Zealand distillery, made with 100% New Zealand barley. It is 5 years old and bottled at 51.5% ABV.
It was matured in a fresh Pinot Noir cask from Westbrook Winery. The palate brings spiced plum jam, wild strawberries, dried cherries and salted caramel, and the finish is rich and smoky, shaped by the distillery's signature manuka wood.
