Timorous Beastie The Winter Edition is a 16 year old Highland blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing & Co. It is bottled at 45.1% in a 70cl bottle, in an edition of 400 bottles.
The whisky is matured entirely in sherry casks. It is described as rich and sweet with a wintry character: cocoa, orange zest and juicy red berries on the nose, then an oily, spicy palate that recalls Christmas cake with candied fruit, raisins and dark chocolate.
The finish is long, dry and warm, with bitter chocolate, toasted nuts and caramelised orange peel.
