TINCUP 10 Year is a straight high rye bourbon distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and bottled in Denver, Colorado. The mash bill is 64% corn, 32% rye and 4% malted barley.
It was matured for ten years in new number 3 char American white oak barrels, then brought down to 42% with Rocky Mountain water. The bottle is six-sided and embossed, with a tin cup cap.
The nose has aged oak and vanilla with caramel, baking spice, honeyed orange, leather, cinnamon and pine. The palate is sweet pepper, leather and dried raisins, with marzipan and pie crust, light in body with spice from the rye. The finish is smooth and lingering, with caramel, biscuit and gentle oak.
