Tincup is an American whiskey that blends a high-rye bourbon distilled and aged in Indiana with a Colorado single malt, then brings it down to bottling strength with Rocky Mountain water. This is the 1 litre bottle at 42% ABV. The brand was created by Jess Graber, a hobbyist distiller who made it his full-time work. The name honours Colorado's gold miners, who drank from tin cups, and the lid of the bottle can be used as a cup. The nose brings caramel, light spice, rye and green apple with a touch of dill. On the palate, sweet grain gives way to cherry, citrus and a soft minerality, and the medium finish is caramel and rye with a chalky edge.
