Tobermory 12 Year Old is a single malt from the only distillery on the Isle of Mull, which stands in the island's main town, also called Tobermory. The distillery was founded in 1798 and has belonged to Burn Stewart Distillers since 1993. This is part of its core range, bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks.
The nose is fruity, with orange and citrus alongside vanilla, spice and light oak. The palate is creamy and sweet, with more orange, a little lemon, creamy caramel and plenty of vanilla, plus cinnamon and clove. The finish is long, with vanilla and spice.
