Tomintoul 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt at 40% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for ten years in American oak ex-bourbon casks and made in small batches, with water drawn from the Ballantruan Spring.
The distillery stands in the Cairngorms village of Tomintoul, often called "the gentle dram capital of the world", and was established in 1964.
The nose is soft honey and vanilla with fresh citrus, light floral notes and a touch of malt. The palate brings toffee, orchard fruits and creamy malt with a whisper of spice. The finish is clean and lightly sweet, leaving a warming trace of vanilla and oak.
