Tomintoul – 10 Years

Tomintoul 10 Years is a Speyside single malt with a pronounced caramel character. Its sweetness comes from lightly peated malt and water from the Ballantruan spring, which rises above the distillery. The distillery stands on the banks of the Avon, about five miles north of the village of Tomintoul, and was built in 1964. The colour is amber-gold. The nose is of medium weight, with light malt, biscuit sweetness and a hint of cinnamon and spice. The palate is round and soft, malty with biscuit sweetness. The finish is long and elegant.
