It then had a final maturation in handpicked Pedro Ximénez sherry quarter casks from Spain. Bottled at 46% ABV without colouring or chill filtration, it is a release of 4,380 bottles. The nose is deep and rich, with chocolate fudge cake, maple syrup, dried fruits and cedarwood. On the palate come maple pecan pie, chocolate ganache, raisins and roast nuts, with coffee grounds, tobacco and baking spices. The finish is long and warming, with tiramisu, dark chocolate and Brazil nuts.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
