Tomintoul 14 Year Old is a Speyside single malt distilled in 2009. It was matured first in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then finished in Cognac casks that Master Distiller Robert Fleming sourced in France.
It is bottled at 46% with its natural colour and without chill filtration. The release is limited to 8,082 individually numbered bottles.
The nose is described as almond flan, baked apricots, vanilla and cedarwood, with dark chocolate and pink peppercorn. On the palate come ginger biscuits, sandalwood, muscovado sugar and white chocolate, and the finish brings warming spice and toasted oak with vanilla custard.
