This is a 14 year old Tomintoul single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2008. It matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks before a finishing period in White Port barriques from Portugal, which add rich fruit flavours.
It is bottled at 46% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose is floral, with elderflower and orchard blossom, white grapes, pineapple sweets and soft barley. The palate is fruity and tangy, with summer berries, sultanas and honeyed prunes, then syrupy flapjack and fresh vanilla. The finish has creamy cocoa, praline, golden plums and spiced biscuits.
