Tomintoul – 14 Years (46%)

A 14 year old Speyside single malt, bottled at 46%, a strength the source describes as unusual for Tomintoul. It is bottled without added colour and is not chill-filtered. Robert Fleming, Tomintoul's master distiller, comes from a family that has distilled single malt for four generations. The colour is pale straw. The nose is malty and sweet with a slightly floral touch. Soft malt on the palate moves gently into sweetness. The finish is a little dry but long and creamy, with fine spice at the close.
