This Tomintoul is a 15-year-old Speyside single malt bottled at 46%. It was first matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then given a final rest in Madeira casks, which bring the sweetness of the wine to the Speyside malt.
Butterscotch and bramble lead the way, followed by chocolate raisins, stewed fruit and treacle. The finish carries espresso and dark spice.
