This is a 15 year old Speyside single malt from Tomintoul, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Most of its maturation takes place in American oak, after which it is finished in Port pipes.
The Port finish adds colour and a fruit-led richness to the distillery's soft style, without overpowering it.
On the nose there are ripe berries, creamy vanilla, soft malt and gentle floral sweetness with a touch of Port warmth. The palate is smooth and rounded, with raspberry, plum, honeyed malt, light spice and silky oak. The finish is medium to long and mellow, with red berries, warm spice and soft oak.
