Tomintoul 16 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, distilled in the Cairngorms and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is nicknamed The Gentle Dram.
It spent sixteen years maturing in ex-bourbon American oak casks and is non-chill filtered.
The nose is light and floral, with vanilla fudge, orchard fruit, toasted almonds and honey. The palate is creamy and rounded, with toffee, malted barley and pear, plus a little oak spice and heather. The finish is long and clean, with sweet oak and vanilla.
