This Tomintoul single malt was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2025 at 16 years old, as a single cask at a cask strength of 61%. The outturn is 310 bottles.
Robert Fleming, Tomintoul's distillery manager, selected the whisky after it had matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak. It then spent three years in a white port cask.
The nose offers tinned peach, crème caramel, poached pears, white chocolate and a touch of elderflower. On the palate come creamy layers of custard, peach cake and amaretti biscuits, mixed with caramelised plums, cocoa and sweet baking spices. The finish is warming, with grated almonds, baked cheesecake, kaffir lime, gingerbread, Brazil nuts and pear blossom.
