Tomintoul 17 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Finish is a single malt distilled in 2005. It matured first in American ex-bourbon oak casks.
It was then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry butts from Fernando de Castilla in Andalucía, Spain.
The nose is cinnamon, candied citrus peel and raisins, with a fruity, spicy character. The palate has rich fruitcake, toasty spices, a little sweetness and a hint of roasted hazelnuts. The finish is dry, with winter spices.
