Tomintoul 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. This limited edition was finished in American oak barrels that previously held Kedem Port from the Kedem Winery in the USA, and 6,486 bottles were released.
The nose brings stewed fruits, sweet baking spices, Black Forest gateau and cocoa powder. The palate offers baked strawberry and plum crumble and salted caramel, joined by chocolate ganache and espresso. The finish carries warming cooked fruits, syrup flapjacks and cinnamon pastries, fading to milk chocolate, black cherry and cake spice.
