This is a 17-year-old Speyside single malt from Tomintoul, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited distillery bottling of 9,870 bottles from the 2005 vintage. The whisky first matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak, then received a finish in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The nose is rich with pear and sweet spices, alongside molasses, dates and toasted oak. The palate is sweet and robust, with maple syrup, candied nuts, marmalade, salted caramel and chocolate dessert, plus cinnamon and cloves. The finish is warming and long, with caramel sweets and cocoa moving into dried figs and espresso.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
