Tomintoul – 2006 Best Dram (70cl, 53.2%)

A 2006 single malt from Tomintoul in Speyside, bottled by Michel Reick as a Best Dram edition. It comes at 53.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Tomintoul was built in 1964 near Ballindalloch and takes its name from Scotland's highest village. The distillery draws its water from the Ballantruan Spring. Most of what Tomintoul produces goes into blends, chiefly White & Mackay, which makes an independent single malt bottling like this one a less common sight.
