Tomintoul Caribbean Rum Cask Finish is a small batch Speyside single malt from Tomintoul Distillery, which sits on the Glenlivet Estate and uses water from the Ballantruan Spring.
The whisky is aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then married and finished in Caribbean rum barrels.
The nose is fresh and bright, with raspberry blossom, coconut oil, Parma violets and custard Danish. The palate is layered, with muscovado sugar, iced buns and cinder toffee, bound together by lotus biscuits, nougat and coconut cream.
