This is a 25 year old Tomintoul from the Vintage Single Cask range, distilled in 1994 and matured in a single Oloroso sherry butt. It was bottled at cask strength, 57.4% ABV, with an outturn of 681 bottles, and comes in a 70cl bottle.
Dark fruit and toffee run through it. The nose offers toffee sweetness with ripe damsons, plums and berries, alongside vanilla and custard. The palate mixes toffee, raisins, plums, glacé cherries and nutty nougat, and the finish starts sweet before drying slowly with a cigar box spiciness.
