Tomintoul 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt put together by Master Distiller Robert Fleming from carefully chosen Tomintoul casks. It matured in bourbon barrels and is described as bold, rich and fruit-forward, with a long finish.
It was named Best Scotch Whisky at The Global Spirits Masters in 2020.
The tasting notes give treacle toffee, oat biscuit and sultana on the nose, with muscovado sugar and toasted oak. The palate is sweet, with salted caramel, rolling tobacco, caramelised nuts, maple syrup, oaky spice and stone fruit. The finish is warming and long, with coffee cake, creme caramel and burnt sugar.
