Tormore – 10 Year Old Blueprint Toasted Barrel (70cl, 48%)

A 10-year-old Speyside single malt from Tormore, Blueprint #03 in a series by Elixir Distillers exploring different maturation styles for the distillery. It matured entirely in toasted American oak rather than receiving a short toasted finish, and follows the Cream Sherry #01 and Bourbon #02 releases. Bottled in 2025 at 48% in a 70cl bottle, it is limited to 1,500 bottles, without chill-filtering or added colour. The nose brings toasted marshmallow, honeyed pecans and vanilla fudge alongside baked apple, cinnamon and fresh toasted oak. The palate is silky, with caramel latte, malt biscuit, ripe pear and toasted almonds, and the medium finish dries slightly, with toffee and roasted hazelnut.
