This Tormore is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from the Legacy Casks series by Elixir Distillers, a pre-release bottling. It was matured in a first fill bourbon barrel and bottled at 52.5% in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 230 bottles, and it is non-chill-filtered.
The nose is sweet citrus with hints of coconut and fresh thyme, and a touch of charred oak. The palate is full and rich, with grilled lemons, stewed pears and buttery puff pastry over creamy vanilla. The finish is long, with charred oak and citrus.
