This is a 15 year old Tormore from 2009, a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle as a tribute to 617 Squadron of the Royal Air Force, the Dambusters. It is a Squadron Malts bottling, and this one is bottle 286 of 301. Tormore Distillery was founded in 1958 by Lewis Rosenstiel and began distilling in 1961. It stands beside the A96 above the River Spey, with a green copper roof and barred windows, and a clock that plays four Scottish songs every quarter of an hour. Tormore is the signature malt of the Long John blend.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
