This is a Tormore single malt from the Legacy Casks range of Elixir Distillers, aged 16 years and bottled at a cask strength of 55.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered.
The whisky was filled in May 2009 and matured until May 2025 in a single first fill bourbon barrel, which yielded 220 bottles. Tormore is a Speyside distillery at Advie, near Grantown-on-Spey.
Tasting notes describe sweet vanilla, ripe citrus fruit and delicate buttery pastry on the nose. The palate is creamy, with honey, pale oak, caramel and a touch of spice, and the finish is medium in length, warming and soft, with vanilla and a little oak spice.
