Tormore – 31 Year Old 1990 Whisky Sponge Edition No.33 (70cl, 53%)

This is a 31 year old Tormore from Speyside, bottled by Whisky Sponge as Edition No.33. It is a marriage of two first fill barrels that were filled in 1990. It was bottled at 53% in a 70cl bottle, a strength chosen because it showed maximum fruit. The nose is rich and creamy with sweetness from the barley and cask, alongside ripe green and exotic fruits, like a fruit salad with softer spice underneath. The palate is mouth-filling and naturally sweet, with juicy mango, dried papaya, lemon jelly and lighter notes of olive oil.
