Traverse City Whiskey Co. XXX is a straight bourbon from Northern Michigan, bottled at 43% (86 proof). The mash bill is corn, rye and malted barley, and the whiskey is aged for at least four years in new American white oak barrels.
The nose offers caramel, vanilla, cherries, cocoa and cake batter, with subtle hints of grass. On the palate come more vanilla and caramel with clove, grilled peaches, sweet corn, pepper, tobacco and a light rye spiciness. The finish is moderately long and dry, with honey and youthful pine.
