A lively, transparent ruby red with a fragrant, immediate profile of cherry and small red fruits, light floral hints and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. The palate is slender but sustained, with good acidity, fine tannins, a soft texture and a sapid finish with a light almond note.
It is a versatile everyday wine for salumi, savoury first courses, pasta with sauce, white meats, medium-aged cheeses, rustic pizzas and mushroom dishes. Serve slightly cool, around 14-16 C, and open a few minutes before serving.
