The Murray is the sixth release in the Marquess Collection from Tullibardine in the Highlands. It celebrates the life of Sir William Murray, 2nd Marquess of Tullibardine.
This 15-year-old was distilled in 2005 and matured in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon and first-fill sherry casks. It was bottled at 46%.
The nose opens with rich honey sweetness over vanilla ice cream and a hint of dark chocolate, then subtle sherry, citrus and peach. The palate brings honey, sherried fruit and cinnamon, with espresso and strawberries drizzled with cream. Gentle sherry notes linger in the finish.
