Turntable Bittersweet Symphony is a malt-led Scotch blend from Turntable Spirits, part of its range of music-themed whiskies.
The blend is made up of four malts and a grain whisky: Craigellachie matured in a PX puncheon (22%) and in an Oloroso cask (21%), Blair Athol from new oak (17%), Balmenach from a PX puncheon (21%), and North British single grain from new oak (19%).
The nose is gingerbread, sticky black fruit, toffee apples, vanilla and dark chocolate. The palate adds dried fruit, warming spices, rich malt, caramel, dried herbs and Black Forest gateau. The finish is spicy and sweet.
