The Source is the first release in Uisge Mòr's Cawdor Collection, an 11 year old single malt distilled at Royal Brackla on the Cawdor Estate. It is bottled at a cask strength of 57.84% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured entirely in a single refill sherry butt, and only 64 bottles were filled.
The nose offers poached pear, baked apple and a delicate floral lift. On the palate, cereal sweetness comes first, then ripe plum, a creamy texture and hints of milk chocolate and toasted oak. The finish is long, with dried fruit, winter spice and a clean, oaky dryness.
