Uncle Nearest 1856 is a Tennessee whiskey, filtered through charcoal before it is matured for 8 to 14 years in charred oak barrels. The name looks back to 1856, the year Nathan Green, known as Uncle Nearest, was working at Dan Call's distillery and met the young Jack Daniel. The brand was founded by Fawn Weaver in 2017. The aroma is soft vanilla, with spicy cinnamon and caramelised nuts. The finish stays soft and creamy, with fresh mint and a smoky hint of oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
