Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch is a Tennessee whiskey. The spirit is filtered through charcoal before maturing for seven to nine years in carefully chosen oak casks. The blend was approved by master blender Victoria Eady Butler, great-granddaughter of Nathan Green. The name 1884 marks the year Nathan Green matured his last whiskey in cask. Uncle Nearest was founded by Fawn Weaver in 2017. It is sweet and smoky, with caramelised apple, sweet popcorn and toasted oak on the nose. The palate is smooth, and the finish is lightly peppery with nutmeg and butterscotch.
