Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera is an Italian brandy from Emilia-Romagna, in a 70cl bottle with a distinctive triangular shape. It combines continuous and discontinuous distillates and is aged twice, first in barrique and then in oak casks.
The brand traces back to the Buton distillery, founded in Bologna in 1820 as the first Italian industrial distillery of spirits.
The nose shows dark blackberry and plum jam, with black pepper, coffee and liquorice over a background of mint and dark chocolate. The palate is intense and robust, softened by fruity returns. The finish is long, with leather and tobacco.
