Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore Sciocchina Albamocco

Sciocchina is a Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore from Albamocco, made from the native Verdicchio grape. It comes from the hills around Jesi in the Marche region. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve freshness and aromas, followed by ageing on fine lees for several months. It shows a straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose offers white flowers, green apple and a delicate almond note. On the palate it is fresh and balanced, with lively acidity and a persistent, slightly bitter finish. It suits aperitifs, fish, seafood, fresh cheeses and vegetable dishes.
