Very Old Barton Bourbon 80 Proof (75cl, 40%)

Very Old Barton 80 Proof is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is produced by the Sazerac Company at Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. The distillery was established in 1879 around the Tom Moore Spring and takes its name from 1792, the year Kentucky became a state. Sazerac acquired it in 2009. This is the 80-proof expression of a long-running Barton line that has been bottled at several strengths. It is described as tawny in colour, with a lean woody aroma, a firm and drying woody palate, and a dry, warm finish.
