Veuve Goudoulin XO Premium Arche is an armagnac in a 70cl bottle, from a house founded in 1935 by Jeanne Goudoulin. It is a blend of Bas-Armagnac and Armagnac Ténarèze, and the youngest spirit in it has 30 years of ageing.
The armagnacs are distilled from white wines in a continuous armagnac still and aged in local oak, which gives the colour of orange and amber and an old-fashioned character.
The nose is complex, with jasmine and orange blossom over a base of plums. Plum returns on the palate, together with liquorice, almond and tobacco.
