A Bas-Armagnac Napoléon from Maison Veuve Goudoulin, founded in 1935 by Jeanne Goudoulin. It is distilled from white wines in a continuous armagnac still and aged for six years in local oak.
Ageing gives the spirit an amber-orange colour and the old-fashioned character typical of good armagnac.
The nose shows vanilla, pastry, pan brioche and a touch of iris. The palate is soft and round with a slightly bitter aftertaste, and the finish recalls chocolate milkshake. It suits sipping after dinner, or alongside dark chocolate desserts and vanilla-spiced sweets.
