A Verdicchio di Jesi DOC Superiore from Vicari, pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is subtle yet layered, with white-fleshed fruit, field flowers and a light bitter-almond note. The palate is centred, with good acidity, a supportive body, savoury aromas and a discreet mineral sensation; the finish stays fruity with a faint almond note.
It suits fish, shellfish, seafood soups, pasta with delicate sauces, white meats and fresh cheeses. Serve around 10-12 °C in a tulip glass.
