Viuda de Sanchez Sangrita (1L)

Viuda de Sanchez Sangrita is a non-alcoholic Mexican sangrita, a spicy-citrus chaser to sip alongside tequila or mezcal, in a 1 litre bottle. It is owned by Casa Cuervo and takes its inspiration from the recipe of La Viuda, a restaurant in Jalisco. Rather than relying on tomato juice, it is built on natural orange and lime juice with dried chili de árbol, which gives its red colour and a building heat, plus savoury seasonings. The nose is bright orange with a little dried chili and a hint of salt. The palate is sweet orange and tangy lime, turning savoury, salty and peppery. The finish is medium, with citrus and a slow chili burn.
